Suzanne L. Flynt was Curator of Memorial Hall Museum, Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association, Deerfield, Massachusetts, for thirty-five years before her retirement in 2017.
She is the author of The Allen Sisters: Pictorial Photographers 1885-1920, which was awarded the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities Ninth Annual Book Prize in 2002 and organized the traveling exhibition of the same name. She has curated the exhibitions Don’t Smile for the Camera: Another Angle on Early Photography, 2008-2009 and The Local Picture: Photography in 19th Century Franklin County, Massachusetts, 1989 for Memorial Hall Museum The Light of Day for the Russell Gallery, Deerfield Academy, 1997; and Lyric Image for the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center, 1998.
